Maryang Port
It is a special place where sunrise and sunset can be witnessed. There is a village called ‘Sunrise and Sunset.’ The Maryang Port at the Maryang-ri that is the village located at the end of the West Sea is the place.
In this port, the sunrise from the West Sea can be seen from November to the middle of February. Because of its fame that allows the view of sunrise from the horizon of the West Sea, many tourists visit here even at the period when the sunrise cannot be seen. Also this place gives us impression and joy on the mysterious of nature providing the sunset at the same spot.
Hongwon Port
It is located the closest area from Oeiyeondo and Yeondo fishing ground of West Sea, which are the major fishing ground.
It is the type 1 port, the center of distribution for marine products because of the convenient conveyance by land and water. To develop this port as an advanced base for fishery, breakwaters, docks, distribution facilities are constructed.
Janghang Port
The Janghang Port located at the end tip of southwest of Chungcheongnam-do was upgraded as an international port in 1964, which was the unique in Chungcheongnam-do.
Located near China, it is expected to be developed as a central port for the trade with Northern countries.
Foreshore of Seocheon
Since Seocheon has the developed rias coast and a lot of foreshore, it became a popular site for marine experience throughout the country. Especially, it is known to be the best place for learning site for families and students.
Janhang Pine Forest
It is said to be good for neuralgia since it has a lot of salt and uranium. April 20 in every year in lunar calendar is the Day of Sand and countless people visit here for sand bathing.
